Iron Man in VR

Have you ever just wanted to jump into the metal armor of your favorite superhero?  Well then Sony have the game for you! That is if you’re one of the 15 people that bought a PlayStation VR headset. Marvel’s Iron Man VR was announced last month, and oh boy does it look interesting.

Sony’s short trailer for the game is from Tony Starks point of view.  After a spell of witty banter and explosions, the trailer shows some possible gameplay.  I say “possible gameplay” because we don’t know if it’s in-engine or pre-rendered.

Honestly, it was the most bare-bones gameplay I’ve seen this year.  Sony might be keeping their cards a little too close to their chest with this trailer.  But that’s just my opinion. Go ahead and check it out for yourself.

This isn’t the first time Marvel took a crack at a VR headset game.

Marvel’s 2018 virtual reality game, MARVEL Powers United VR left fans underwhelmed and disappointed.  IGN’s review of the game gave it a 6.7 out of 10 with its biggest downfall being its repetition and lazy boss design.

Hopefully, the upcoming PlayStation VR exclusive game,  Marvel’s Iron Man VR will rectify these issues.

An Iron Man VR game makes sense, and Marvel knows this. United had a considerable list of Marvel comic book chartacters. Unfortunately, they were missing one big player. That’s right, the man of the hour, Iron Man, didn’t make an appearance in the game as a playable character.

Some journalists online believe the creators of United want to add Iron Man as a downloadable character.

I believe they wanted to hype all the fans up a few weeks before Avengers: End Game comes out.  That or they wanted to make more money off of Iron Man by putting him in his own game.
